Dunya Supports Food Security

June 7, 2021

For many of us, the question of food security has never been contemplated until now – and we are the fortunate. However, COVID-19 has certainly brought challenges to our food systems with rising prices of fresh foods pricing out limited access to nutritious diet.

This weekend, our CSO, Sumi Shan spoke to iconic journalist Ann Rohmer on 105.9FM ‘The Feed’ show and podcast. Learn how our founding team was inspired by the work their father was doing in Sri Lanka to support sustainable farming.

Dunya’s goal to help families access affordable and nutritious produce. It all started with our earnest desire to find a technology to help address the problem of global food insecurity and mitigate against climate change. It is not about just growing produce for us but helping to build an ecosystem locally where no one goes hungry.
